Being Nel (2018)
"Being Nel" is an ongoing project that explores the everyday life of a young lady, Nel, who is trying to make a name for herself in the growing Nigerian fashion Industry.
Modeling in Africa is often misconstrued as a career cover for promiscuity; largely due to the aspects of its practice that encourages body exposure, sexual expression, and sometimes nudity.
The growth in the industry particularly in Nigeria has made countless young girls aspire to make a living from this career.
With this project, I hope to debunk this myth by bringing to the forefront the essence of her humanity as a girl, desirable of deserving respect and dignity in her career.
